Fencing for Any Size or Number of Dogs or Cats
At Dog Guard®, we understand that your dog is more than a pet...it's family. So we know just how important it is that your dog leads a safe and happy life. Dog Guard "Out of Sight Fencing" allows your dog the freedom he deserves, and provides you with peace of mind.
We owned the Dog Guard system for our own pets before we ever became dealers. That's how much we believe in it. For two years, we researched all of the various systems but were unconvinced because we own a very stubborn Beagle and Weimaraner. It wasn't until we asked the Dog Guard representative - 'will you guarantee this system will hold in my Beagle and Weimaraner?' and the response was 'Yes, or we'll remove it and give you your money back on the system.' We were sold! Several months later, we became Dog Guard dealers.
We believe in our product. To prove it, we provide the finest, most comprehensive warranties and guarantees available today in the market.

Electronic Pet Fence Systems
Dog Guard is an electronic pet fencing system that is “Out of Sight.” What we mean by that is no one can see the actual fence. When it is installed, we put down flags several feet apart and initially that’s how the dog or cat sees the fence. Once they’ve been trained on the fence, they’ve built a scent trail along the parameter and will also know the fence by smell. Did you know that dogs only see certain colors? That’s right and they can see the bright yellow Dog Guard flags very well. The system is installed underground by burying a wire in a loop along the perimeter of your desired fence area. This can also include or exclude a pool or garden. Your pet is then safely kept within the yard and to be free within sections where the yard is not “blocked” by the fence and happily away from your garden and landscaping. Dogs love to run free, and keeping your dog safe in the yard gives you both the ability to relax outside.
How Electronic Pet Fences Work
First, a transmitter is installed in your garage, basement or buildings with electric. It’s up to you where we install the transmitter; it just must be inside from the weather. Then, wire is buried underground in a complete loop using a slicer trencher. The equipment slices your yard while running the wire. A harmless radio signal is transmitted through the wire which is picked up by the small receiver on the pet’s collar. When the dog or cat is a certain distance from the wire, the receiver in the pet’s collar picks up the signal and gives off an audible warning and a very mild correction. Dog Guard offers a stair-stepped training which gets stronger as the pet goes further into the fence. The only reason the pet would do this is if they are not listening or obeying your commands during training. Other companies just come on full blast, but not all pets need that much correction.
Below are some different wire configurations you may want to consider.
Basic Parimeter System
With a garden or pool loop, or you can protect any other area you like.
Can cover 1, 2, or 3 sides of your property. Ideal for customers with traditional fencing on part of the property. Also great for Condo's or Duplexes.
This creates 2 different zones. Allows you to keep your pet in whichever zone you like.
Pet Fence Training
A family is happiest when their dog is well trained. As the saying goes, “good fences make good neighbors”, an Out-of-Sight electronic fence gives both!
As mentioned, the boundary is marked off with flags, creating a visible boundary line for you and your pet. You should spend fifteen minutes, twice daily, exercising the dog around the flag boundary. If the dog moves toward the flags, he should be firmly told “no.” The dog should then be guided away from the flags and praised with enthusiasm. In this way, the pet quickly learns where is the boundary. Later, once the pet becomes familiar with the visible boundary, the flags can be removed.
Remember, praise and repetition are the your best tools for a successful and happy pet!
